Matt Hampson Six Nations Dinner – February 15th
520 people attended this year’s Matt Hampson Foundation Six Nations Dinner, at the Battersea Evolution, in south London, on Wednesday, February the 15th. The evening was hosted by England and Lions scrum-half turned skater Kyran Bracken. Amongst those attending were England’s coaching team of Stuart Lancaster, Andrew Farrell and Graham Rowntree, several members of England’s Six Nations squad, and many well-known former and current players.
Messrs. Lancaster, Farrell and Rowntree took part in an entertaining Q & A session with Kyran, before being replaced on stage by Tigers skipper Geordan Murphy, who gave an Irish view of the Six Nations, and Tigers and England prop Dan Cole, who displayed the droll humour associated with the front row.
It was then time for the auction, with some superb items on offer, from the world of sport and entertainment. Amongst the highlights was dinner for 12 at the Twickenham Cellars, an evening at the Opera, shooting with the Tuilagi's at Bisley shooting ground and Matt's motivational seminar.
Once again, renowned charity auctioneer Charlie Ross took charge of things, and his well-known powers of persuasion prompted guests to part with their cash. With the auction, silent auction, raffle and heads and tails a substantial amount of money was raised for the Foundation. All of this will go to the Matt Hampson Foundation, helping it to further its aims of inspiring and supporting young people seriously injured through sport.
The Foundation would like to thank everyone in attendance on the night and your support is,
as ever - FANTASTIC!
