Members and Supporters of the Fernie Hunt raised £1,200

Members and Supporters of the Fernie Hunt raised £1,200 for the Matt Hampson Foundation in one of their recent Charity Collections. The cheque was presented to Roy Jackson, Chairman and Founding Trustee of the Matt Hampson Foundation, before the first race at the local Dingley point-to-point races last weekend. Pictured are (l-r) Philip Cowen (Jt Master), Chris Parker (Jt Master), Fiona and Roy Jackson (Matt Hampson Foundation), Toby Hill (Hon Secretary), Lucy Graham (Jt Master) and Joe Cowen (Jt Master) amongst the Fernie hounds.

The collection was the latest project following a successful partnership which emerged between the two organisations when they ran two fundraising Balls together in 2013, and re-affirmed the huge volume of support for Matt and his Foundation amongst members of the local hunting and farming communities. Whilst thanking the Fernie for their valuable contribution of £1,200 from this collection, Roy commented that Matt and the Trustees were immensely grateful for the continued support of the local rural and hunting communities, and that one of the next fundraising events for the Foundation will take place in the heart of the Cottesmore's hunt Country at Halstead in Rutland with the return of "Midsummer Madness" on Saturday 21st June.
