Inspiring and supporting young people seriously injured through sport

Tim Hames Smashes 50@50 Target!

Beneficiary Tim Hames completed his 50 mile hand cycle ride on Saturday to celebrate his 50th Birthday. To top off a fantastic achievement, he managed to raise almost double his target!

Nearly £9000 was raised by Tim’s supporters as he undertook his gruelling challenge cycling from Cold Overton to Uttoxeter. All in aid of the Matt Hampson Foundation.

A crowd of over 40 gathered at the finish line anxiously awaiting Tim and his team. Broken chains, harsh winds and battering rain added extra challenges to the already impressive feat. Despite this, an emotional but ecstatic Tim arrived at the Pharmacy where he works, a champion of physical and mental strength.

There is no word of a 60@60 cycle at this time. However the achievements of last Saturday stand testament enough to Tim’s incredible determination. He is a shining example of how after a life changing injury you can still Get Busy Living.
