Tigers2Paris: 430 Miles covered in Epic Cycling Challenge

Earlier this month friends Rob Hunter and Chris Murphy rode a staggering 430 miles from Welford Road in Leicester to the Stade de France in Paris.

Having enjoyed the challenge of riding 100 miles per day that they undertook last year in Norfolk, Rob and Chris decided to set an even greater challenge. Both fans of rugby they decided to add their own unique twist to the traditional London to Paris cycling challenge. The new route included stops at Franklin’s Gardens, Milton Keynes Bowl, Allianz Park and Twickenham and was known as #Tigers2Paris

The Matt Hampson Foundation was chosen as one of two charities that the guys would fundraise for. Having both taken part in Cycle4Matt a few years ago they were both very familiar with the work of the Foundation and so it was an “easy decision.”

Not even a dodgy satnav and broken wheel from a clash of the bikes could stop them from completing their mission. Both walking away from the bump with a couple of bruises but thankfully no major injuries! Amazingly the ride was

Chris and Rob managed to raise over £1200 for the Matt Hampson Foundation and Hope Against Cancer.
