Inspiring and supporting young people seriously injured through sport

BGC Charity Day 2014 Raises Thousands for the Foundation

Last years BGC Charity Day raised £40,000 for the Matt Hampson Foundation.

Last year’s Charity Day was held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 and raised approximately $12 million globally. Every year, BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, commemorate the 658 Cantor and the 61 Eurobrokers employees who perished on September 11, 2001 by distributing 100% of their global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and dozens of charities around the world. Since its inception, BGC Charity Day has raised approximately $113 million globally. Charity Day is BGC’s way of turning a tragic day into one that is positive and uplifting by helping others.

The Matt Hampson Foundation is very grateful to be included and appreciates all of the funds raised through the generosity of everyone at BGC. The total sum will go towards the construction and maintenance of the Get Busy Living Centre and allow us to inspire and support more seriously injured young people.
