Inspiring and supporting young people seriously injured through sport

Laura Wright Tackles the Great Glen Valley Paddle Board Challenge

The Matt Hampson Foundation’s newest ambassador is set to take on the huge 2 day paddling challenge to raise money for the Foundation.

Armed with nothing more than a paddle and board the nation’s sporting soprano will battle the Loch Ness Monster and Scottish weather as she attempts the 57 miles from Fort William to Inverness along the Great Glen with boyfriend Harry.

Laura recently performed at the Foundation’s annual Six Nations Dinner and the challenge on the 30th July will be her first charity event raising funds for the Foundation. Speaking of the challenge she said “This is my first charity event for the foundation and the Great Glen Valley Paddle seemed challenging enough! Harry and myself have both seen the devastating effects serious sports injuries can have on someone’s life”

Looking at the positive impact their challenge could have she added “we want to look to how we can help improve the quality of life of those injured. We want to raise valuable funds for spinal research and to help support and treat those that need it most.”

Laura and Harry will paddle on the 30th – 31st July and you can help support them and the Matt Hampson Foundation here https://www.justgiving.com/Laura-Wright1990/

“I love how positive Matt and all those around him are, so help us Get Busy Living together!”
