Adnams are delighted to announce the launch of a new limited edition beer, Prop Hop, in support of the charity The Matt Hampson Foundation. Released in time to coincide with the 2015 Rugby World Cup, it is hoped that the beer will help raise awareness, as well as funds, for the Matt Hampson Foundation
Fergus Fitzgerald, Head Brewer at Adnams, said: “We are big rugby fans here at Adnams and working with Matt Hampson to brew Prop Hop is our way of marking this year’s World Cup which is taking place on home soil. We will also donate a proportion of the beer sales to The Matt Hampson Foundation. We are delighted to partner with this fantastic charity and help promote the essential support it offers so many people.”
“This golden 4% abv bitter is quintessentially British and has been brewed with a carefully selected variety of English hops including Endeavour, plus barley and pale rye malt. It boasts flavours of malty biscuits, accompanied by subtle notes of orange peel. Prop Hop has been crafted to complement foods, such as lamb burgers, so it’s a perfect accompaniment for a party as well as a match!”
Foundation founder, Matt Hampson said: “It is great to have such a fun and unique fundraising idea from Adnams, with our very own ‘Prop Hop’ beer. It will hopefully raise a substantial amount of money for the Matt Hampson Foundation and also raise awareness of the great work we do!”
Prop Hop will be available in cask in selected outlets from late August through to October 2015, and by September it will be also available to purchase in 5-litre mini casks online at adnams.co.uk and in Adnams Stores, priced at £16.99 each.
