A team of ten rugby players from London Cornish Rugby Club took part in an epic 84 mile trek across Hadrian’s Wall over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Covering more than a marathon’s distance per day, the group of 10, nicknamed the ‘Dukes’, only took 3 of the recommended 5 days to walk the Hadrian’s Wall path!
The challenge all started after rugby cult hero Andy Goode promised to lace his boots up once more for any club who could raise £10,000 for the Matt Hampson Foundation, with Jim Hamilton also promising to run out for the generous club.
Andy Goode and Jim Hamilton made the pledge on the increasingly popular Rugby Pod which is available on iTunes and Google play on Tuesdays.

Matt Hampson said "What an achievement! They worked so hard so I'm glad Goodey and Jim will be running out for them! Let me know when the game is and I'm down for coaching!"
The Foundation wishes to express a huge thank you to Giles Beeby, Simon Burns, Ollie Chapman, Rob Graham, Allan Overton, David Overton, Tom Parsons, Sam Steer, James Whitehead and Sam Wiltshire. Congratulations on completing an epic challenge and raising a life changing sum of money for a young person who has suffered a serious injury.
We look forward to meeting you all and cheering on when Andy and Jim lace up their boots!
