The Matt Hampson Foundation Pledges its Support to Ed Jackson

The Matt Hampson Foundation has pledged to support injured Newport Gwent Dragons player Ed Jackson in his rehabilitation after suffering an incomplete spinal cord injury.

Ed suffered a fracture dislocation at the C6/7 joint in April 2017 and together with his representatives at Legion Sports Management, the Foundation is fundraising to support Ed with his rehabilitation costs.

Ed suffered his injury after diving into a swimming pool. He has been diagnosed with an incomplete spinal cord injury. This means that the cord is damaged but not severed completely. Damage can range from quadriplegia to a complete recovery however the extent will only be apparent over time. Ed is thankfully making good progress.

All the money raised will be used to help with Ed's medical expenses to aid his rehabilitation and to fund the necessary changes he will possibly have to make to his residence to make it safe and accessible for someone in his position.

The Foundation is the match-day sponsor of the Aviva Premiership Semi-Final between Wasps and Leicester Tigers at the Ricoh Arena on May 20th and will be using the game as an opportunity to gain more support for Ed, we hope to see you there!
