Walking Hadrian's Wall for the Foundation

A group of ten rugby fanatics from London Cornish RFC nicknamed “Dukes” are aiming to raise £10,000 for the Matt Hampson Foundation by walking Hadrian’s Wall in May.

The group will walk 84 miles along the Hadrian’s Wall path starting on the 27th of May over the long weekend whilst aiming to raise a huge amount of money towards the Get Busy Living Centre.

The “Dukes“ already have the backing of Andy Goode who promised to come out of retirement for a game for any club who raised £10,000 for the Matt Hampson Foundation. The former England Fly-Half has promised to promote their challenge too!

Hadrian’s Wall is in the north of England stretching from Segedunum at Wallsend on the River Tyne, via Carlisle and Kirkandrews-on-Eden, to the shore of the Solway Firth. The is thought to date back to 122 AD ahead of the visit of Roman Emperor Hadrian.

You can support the group on their fundraising page which is already way over £2000 here

Good luck Giles Beeby, Simon Burns, Ollie Chapman, Rob Graham, Allan Overton, David, Overton, Tom Parsons, Sam Steer, James Whitehead, Sam Wiltshire!
