Beneficiary Spencer Watts joins the Matt Hampson Foundation in a Get Busy Living Ambassador & Foundation Executive role.
Spencer, who first got in contact with the Foundation in 2015, received assistance in buying an offroad wheelchair so that he could continue riding MX bikes despite suffering his injury partaking in the sport.
He has since given back to the Foundation and hosted two MX events that have raised just under £20,000. He has spent the last year volunteering and offering his support and friendship to other beneficiaries.
Spencer will now be working with the Foundation in a full time role whilst continuing to give talks at schools and businesses about life after a serious injury.
Foundation Chief Executive Tommy Cawston said "we're delighted to welcome Spencer on to the team. He's an inspiring young man who has shown great dedication to the Foundation over the last two years and helped us even more than we've helped him. He'll be joining us just in time for the completion of the Get Busy Living Centre. Spencer along with Hambo will be an integral part of what the Centre offers. He is a fantastic example of how to Get Busy Living after a life changing injury."
Welcome aboard Spencer!
