The England cricket captain is the latest sportsmen to show his support for the Matt Hampson Foundation.
Foundation CEO Tommy Cawston was invited to play in the annual Stuart Broad v Joe Root golf day at the Belfry and had this to day about the occasion, “It was a fantastic day, the Belfry have been huge supporters of the Foundaiton over the last few years so it was an honour to be invited to take part in such a special event. Stuart Broad is a longstanding ambassador for the Foundation and has known Matt for a long time and it was nice to meet Joe who had also heard about the work we do. In fact his mum Helen is a big supporter of ours so it was nice to talk to him about the Foundation and present him with a copy of Matt’s book Engage.”
The annual event saw Stuart Broad’s Belfry team defeat Joe Root’s Village Hotel side in a Ryder Cup style format. Tommy was joined on the winning Team by Foundation Trustee Julian Evans and good friend the Belfry’s very own Darren Jones.
