Inspiring and supporting young people seriously injured through sport

Raising the roof for the Foundation!

A Harborough father and son team have raised nearly £4000 between them for the Foundation. Avid Leicester Tigers fans Peter and Eddy Crowe raised the money by selling wildlife calendars and walking over the roof of the O2 Arena in London.

Eddy, who suffers from Celebral Palsy, decided to climb the roof of the O2 on a visit to London this summer. He said: “It was something which was totally out of my comfort zone and I thought if I was going to do it, I could get sponsored. The support from family and friends including my Tigers family was fantastic and I couldn’t believe the total which was nearly £2000 including Gift Aid.

“The actual climb was quite difficult for me in places, but once I got to the top I loved it.”

Peter is on the third year of producing his wildlife calendar in aid of the Foundation and is delighted with the total of nearly £800 raised this year. He said: “Over the three years I have raised nearly £2000 by selling the calendars. I have had a great time putting them together and it is lovely to think that people are enjoying my pictures all year around.”

Peter said: “What Matt and Foundation have done is truly inspirational. Eddy and I have been really pleased to support their work.”
