Inspiring and Supporting young people seriously injured through sport

Intensive Rehab Lodges

Our intensive residential rehabilitation lodges opened in late 2022. These lodges, located just metres from The Get Busy Living Centre’s doors and enjoying incredible full-height views across the rolling Leicestershire countryside, offer a truly unrivalled rehabilitation experience that’s not available anywhere else in the UK.

Each lodge comprises two bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchen\living area, all fully adapted, comfortable and welcoming. A real home-from-home experience and perfect for people who are newly-injured who are leaving hospital and beginning their rehabilitation journey before heading home to get on with their lives.

Beneficiaries will typically stay on-site with us for 4-6 weeks during which time they will be welcomed into the Foundation’s very special community. They will receive regular sessions with our physiotherapy team, specially-adapted personal training sessions to build strength all geared towards increasing independence, mobility and confidence to get busy living again. Outside of the gym they will spend time in our social hub, meeting and socialising with others on the same recovery journey as them. If they want to, they will receive support and mentoring from others in the community, advice and support with diet, nutrition and bowel management and enjoy home-cooked meals with the rest of the beneficiaries and their families. They also have access to our counsellor to help support their mental health and can join our yoga instructor for one-to-one or group sessions.

During the summer months, the Get Busy Living centre also holds regular social events, BBQs and pizza nights from its relaxing and picturesque outdoor entertaining space overlooking the beautiful countryside.

The Get Busy Living intensive rehabilitation lodges offer a truly unique experience for people with a range of injuries, providing the space for them to recuperate and recover with a carer or family member living on-site with them for support.
